The International Polar Foundation UK, together with polar scientists from the UK Polar Network, will bring an interactive science learning experience to the public and schools over the weekend 27-29th September 2014 at Dundee Science Centre in Scotland. Shackleton, Sea Ice and Science: A Century of Science in Antarctica is the first of three 3-day polar science outreach events which will take place around the UK during 2014/15.

Workshop on Energy and Polar Regions in Brussels

From November 12, 2012 until the end of June 2013, the International Polar Foundation is offering a “Pôles Energies” interactive workshop in Brussels, based on Princess Elisabeth Antarctica, the first Zero Emission research base in Antarctica. The workshop, which takes place at the Foundation’s educational facility, is aimed at classes from 10 to 18 years of age, and is currently open to French speaking students in Belgium.

Princess Elisabeth Antarctica explained to young polar scientists

This October, the scientific and "zero emission" aspects of Princess Elisabeth Antarctica will be presented to young polar scientists during two events organised by APECS (Association of Polar Early Career Scientists). Connecting closely with scientists is a key way of providing effective communication and education on polar science. The International Polar Foundation has been communicating about polar sciences for 10 years as part of its mission.

Class Zero Emission: free workshops on climate change

The International Polar Foundation is currently holding interactive climate change workshops at our educational space 'Class Zero Emission' in Brussels. Reservations are now open for French and Dutch speaking Belgian classes, between the ages of 10 and 18, and to students studying to be teachers.
