Arctic Arc: Polar Sciences - new educational material !

While Alain Hubert and Dixie Dansercoer have come to their 4th week of expedition on the Arctic ice, the IPF launches its educational project introducing polar sciences. New educational material is available on the EducaPoles website!

Polar Sciences

What is the use in polar sciences? How are polar sciences linked to the climatic system of our planet? These are just some of the questions tackled in this chapter. Adapted educational tools relative to a new "interactive question" are available as a working framework:

Polar Regions

  • This interactive question has been closed: two experts (a climatologist and an agronomist) have also given their answer to the question regarding the scientific importance of polar regions.
  • Three videos, excerpted from an intervew with Alain Hubert, present his own answers to three frequently asked questions about polar regions: What is pack ice? How do people keep warm in the polar regions? What is the difference between Antarctica and the Arctic?
