What is it like in Antarctica? How is energy managed at the Princess Elisabeth Research Station? What do researchers and technical teams do there? What animals live in Antarctica?
Students from Lincoln Elementary School in Baxter Springs in the United States and from Silverhill Primary School in Mickleover in the United Kingdom were able to find out by talking to Professor Sneeze in Belgium and to electrical engineer Johnny Gaelens who manages the renewable energy systems at Princess Elisabeth Station.
Discover the activities at Silverhill Primary School by reading the related news.
Also look at the picture gallery to see the activities that have been organised at the schools. The students in both schools are now becoming real Polar Experts!
Are you also interested in the Polar Regions and in climate change? Professor Sneeze encourages you to show your interest by becoming a Sea Ice Ambassador.
Many thanks to Johnny Gaelens, Helen Turton and Professor Sneeze who have made these learning experiences possible.
