IPF Workshops at the Saint-Hubert Foundation
On September 24th, the Saint-Hubert Foundation is organizing a day dedicated to environmental education in order to bring children to learn to respect nature at a young age.
For its 3rd edition, the event will take place in the "Domaine provincial de Mirwart", in the province of Luxembourg (Belgium), and is open to all pupils of Belgium's French community. Primary school pupils will be able to discover three natural environments: forests (1st and 2nd grade), agriculture (3rd and 4th grade) and rivers (5th and 6th grade).
The IPF will give two workshops linked to its pedagogical tools. In the "agriculture" corner, the IPF will give a public reading of its comic book "The Migration of the Ibanes" and discuss the problem of deforestation. In the "river" corner, the IPF will then show a series of flash animations about the impacts of climate change in marine environments. For the teachers attending the "agriculture" and "river" workshops, the IPF will add a copy of the comic book and of the CD-ROMs containing the flash animations inside each teacher's pack.
