The ClimaTIC project is looking for french-speaking classes

In the Framework of the ClimaTIC project, the IPF is looking for French speaking classes from various countries willing to participate in the local inquiries on wood usage and forests, to take place from January to March 2007. LTER announces a Children’s Book On Antarctica

A chance encounter with a wayward seal, lost in Antarctica's Dry Valleys, by a team of Antarctic researchers has led to an engaging children's book by a University of Colorado at Boulder professor describing the beat of life in one of the world's harshest environments.

Festival Sciences et Cité 2008

The "Festival Science et Cité" is a Swiss initiative. It aims at giving scientists the opportunity to meet the public, explain their work and start a constructive dialog. The steering committee of the "Festival Sciences et Cité 2008", to which IPF Switzerland takes part, published a Feasability Report in march 2008. This report starts the second phase of the project.

Swiss schools have put together a website in order to exchange, communicate and share the results of their participation to the ClimaTIC project. That website can be used as a resource for those willing to get in touch with issues related with environment and climate change. A discussion space is available to publish articles, pictures, texts or movies illustrating the work that has been done in classrooms.

The first episodes of the comic book "The migration of the Ibanes" are now available online in Italian, German, Polish, Rumanian and Turkish. The French and English versions of this comic book have been online since March 2006
