Biodiversity - Natural Rhythms
05.Mar.2008 | 3 MB - pdf
The educational sheet on "Natural Rhythms" is part of the Biodiversity & Climate change dossier.
This sheet shows how climate change has impacted the oak tree's natural rhythm. It also goes into how this change in rhythm affects species which depend on the oak tree for survival, such as the caterpillar, the great tit and the pied flycatcher.
On a practical level, a group activity is suggested to allow schoolchildren to better understand the food chain concept. At the end of the sheet, resources are offered for further reading.
